site.btaPrime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov

Zhelyazkov was born in Sofia April 5, 1968. Graduated in law from St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia and worked as a lawyer for long years.

He has also served as Secretary of the Municipality of Greater Sofia (2003-2009) and chief secretary of the Council of Ministers (2009 - 2011). In 2014, he was appointed prime-ministerial advisor on administrative reform and e-government. Between 2016 and 2018, he headed the e-Government Agency. Next, in 2018, he headed the Communications Regulation Commission. The same year he became Minister of Transport, IT and Communications (until 2021). He was MP in the 45h, 46th, 47th, 48th and 49th (present) Parliament. He was Parliament Chair between April 2023 and April 2024.
