Conditions for hiking in the mountains are good on Sunday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA.

Strong wind blows on the high parts of the mountains. The weather forecast should be monitored, as the weather is dynamic, the MRS advises. Tourists should bear in mind that there may be local storms in the afternoon in some places.

The cabin and the Sitnyakovo Express lift are open on Borovets, and the two lifts for cyclists on Pamporovo.

Possibly only the wind on the ridge parts will be a problem for tourists on Sunday, the MRS said, adding that the wind in the ridge parts of the Balkan Mountains is strong.  

The weather on Sunday is mostly sunny, and hot in the afternoon, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. A light to moderate easterly quarter wind will blow. Maximum temperatures will be mostly between 32C and 37C, in Sofia - around 32C. It will be sunny over the mountains. In the afternoon there will be a slight cumulus cloud. Light to moderate north-easterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m will be about 25C, at 2,000 m - about 18C.
