The Green Movement party confirmed in a press release on Wednesday that none of their nominees for the upcoming European Parliament and snap general elections have past affiliations with the State Security or the Intelligence Services of the Bulgarian People's Army, as verified by the Dossier Commission.
Established in 2008, the party has consistently upheld a stringent policy requiring all members and nominees for elected office to have no affiliation with the oppressive instruments of the communist regime, the press release reads further.
The Green Movement asserts that its track record of integrity spans nine general, four EU, and four local elections and that if all other political factions and coalitions adhere to this principle, it would greatly enhance the country’s success, fairness, and prosperity.
