site.btaCaretaker Cabinet Adopts Report on Implementation of Action Plan 2024 Measures Resulting from Bulgaria's EU Membership

The caretaker Cabinet adopted Friday a report on the implementation of the Action Plan 2024 with measures resulting from Bulgaria's membership in the European Union as of 31 March 2024.

Out of 93 measures with a deadline for implementation by March 31, 38 have been implemented. The number of measures not implemented is 55 (59.1%). The high percentage of measures not implemented on time is attributed to those that were not implemented on time in 2023 and were carried over from the previous action plan.

The 2024 Action Plan includes 39 measures related to infringement proceedings. With the implementation of these measures, Bulgaria will remedy the infringements of European Union law identified by the European Commission in 39 procedures.
