The conditions for mountain hiking are good, the Mountain Rescue Service said on Saturday morning. There is a snow cover at altitudes above 1,800 metres.

Bansko in Mount Pirin is the only resort operating for winter sports.

No accidents involving hikers were reported in the past 24 hours. 

The weather in the mountains on April 6: Mostly sunny. Increasing clouds in the afternoon with little or no precipitation. Moderate to strong northwesterly wind. Highs: 16C at 1,200 m, 8C at 2,000 m.
