Works by Pakistani painter Raja Changez Sultan will be exhibited at Sofia's Vivacom Art Hall from April 9 to 13, the organizers said. The exhibition "Universals that Unify a Fragmented World" presents a world of introspection and emotional resonance, a visual and literary trip across the Himalayas through a breathtaking series of paintings by the talented artist, the gallery's team said.
The exhibition's curator is Bina Sultan, niece of the painter, a gallerist and a renown Pakistani fashion designer. Her idea is to promote the cultural exchange and enrichment of Pakistan and Bulgaria, South Asia and Eastern Europe.
Raja Changes Sultan was born on December 6, 1949. He is an internationally recognized Pakistani poet and painter, former director general of Pakistan's National Council of the Arts. He holds two Master's degrees: in fine arts and in writing from the Columbia University in the United States. He has had over 70 exhibitions in Austria, England, Switzerland, Oman, and Pakistan. He paints landscapes and portraits with oils as well as charcoal. He has published several poetry books.
