site.btaGood Mountain Hiking Conditions on Saturday

The conditions for hiking in the mountains are good, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) told BTA on Wednesday.

The weather is cloudy in the higher parts of the mountains. Temperatures are between minus 9C and minus 2C.  Lift facilities in mountain resorts are working and there are good conditions for winter sports.

The MRS advises people to be careful and use the winter markings as there is new snow cover - about 10-15 cm on the higher parts of the mountains.

No incidents involving tourists have been recorded in the last 24 hours.
