The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) on Wednesday considered a Bulgargaz proposal to cut the price of natural gas in Bulgaria in March by 18% compared with February. The price would thus fall to around BGN 58 per MWh (exclusive of access, transfer, excise duty and VAT costs). The cut would be based primarily on the fall of European gas price quotes.

The supplier will notify the EWRC about its final estimate on March 1. It will take account of international gas market quotes and the lev/dollar exchange rate as of February 29. Later on March 1 the regulator will set definitively the gas price for March.
