site.btaFEBA Alumni Club, Sofia University Receive BGN 1 Mln Donation

At the end of 2023, the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Economics of the Sofia University (FEBA Alumni Club) and the Faculty of Economics received a donation of BGN 1 million for scholarships for students and pupils over the next ten years, said the University on Monday.

According to the will of the donor, who has requested anonymity, over the next ten academic years up to 15 scholarships will be granted to students, who are socially disadvantaged and/or have lost one or both parents.

Up to six scholarships will also be awarded to students for excellent academic performance; ten scholarships to students from the Sofia Mathematical High School; up to five scholarships for students from schools with which the Faculty of Economics and the FEBA Alumni Club have partner relations.

Prior to receiving the current largest single donation in its history, the FEBA Alumni Club has received numerous donations for student and prospective student scholarships, literature, equipment, and improvements to the School of Business' educational facilities.

The FEBA Alumni Club is the first such non-profit entity established by alumni of a public university in Bulgaria in July 2004.
