A solo exhibition by artist Ivan Dimov, a Professor at the Academy for Fine Arts, will be arranged in GrafikArt Gallery in Sofia. The exhibition is titled "Graphics" and will be open from February 28 to the end of March, the organizers announce.

"Prof. Ivan Dimov is one of the most talented and significant Bulgarian graphic artists. He was the first to incorporate colour into aquatint printing, using bright colours that seem to have become his trademark," the organizers stated, adding that the exhibition  will "walk us through" the artist's memories. “Ivan Dimov transports us to an idealistic world, where the family and the native are on a pedestal, giving security and love,” they noted.

Ivan Dimov is a Bulgarian artist, graphic artist and painter. He works in almost all artistic techniques - painting, watercolour, drawing, graphic art, collage. He was born on February 19 1943 in Yambol (Southeastern Bulgaria). He has had some 20 solo exhibitions, the first of which was in Paris in 1975.

He has also had solo exhibitions in Vienna, Berlin, Warsaw, Moscow, Luxembourg and The Hague.

Dimov has presented his work at the Cracow, Baden-Baden, Ljubljana, Sao Paulo and Berlin Biennales. He participated in general art exhibitions and exhibitions of contemporary Bulgarian art in Germany, the US, the Netherlands, and Japan.
