site.btaChief of Defence Eftimov to Present Analysis of State of Armed Forces in 2023
Chief of Defence Admiral Emil Eftimov will present Tuesday an analysis of the state and preparedness of the Armed Forces in 2023, the press centre of the Defence Ministry said. The presentation of the analysis will mark the beginning of the annual conference of the Chief of Defence, which will be held on February 20-22.
The presentation of the analysis will be attended by President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Rumen Radev, Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, parliamentary Defence Committee Chair Hristo Gadzhev, senior command staff of the Bulgarian Army, national representatives in the command structures of NATO and the European Union, heads of structures in state institutions, directors of directorates in the Defence Staff and the Defence Ministry, as well as heads and commanders of structures directly subordinate to the Defence Minister, the Defence Ministry noted.
On the second and third day of the conference, reports will be presented by the Defence Staff, commanders of the armed forces, national representatives in the command structures of NATO and the European Union, as well as representatives of relevant institutions in the field of defence and national security.
This year, the Forum is focused on the challenges for national planning, conduct and support of operations in the context of the Allied Defence Plans. The event will be hosted by the Chief of Staff at NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Admiral Joachim Ruhle, and will be joined via video teleconference by the Deputy Chief of Staff Support of the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, Major General Wilhelm Grun, and the Commander of the NATO Rapid Deployable Corps – Greece, Lieutenant General Athanasios Garinis.
