Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov held a meeting with US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) CEO Scott Nathan, the Council of Ministers said on its official Facebook page.
At the Munich Security Conference, the two discussed the current state and prospects for further development of Bulgaria's strategic partnership with the USA in the key energy sector, which in recent years has occupied a leading place in our bilateral relations.
Joint efforts to promote democracy were discussed during Denkov's meeting with President and CEO of the National Endowment for Democracy, Damon Wilson.
Topics on the European agenda, including European and transatlantic security, as well as the war in Ukraine, were the focus of Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov's talks with the Prime Ministers of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, and Belgium, Alexander De Croo, with British Foreign Secretary David Cameron and with former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
"The danger is there and we have to open our eyes. Let's open the eyes of every citizen in Europe that the life we enjoy, the life we want to be safe, can disappear, as has happened many times in history," the Prime Minister said earlier during the panel at the Munich Security Conference dedicated to the future of Ukraine and transatlantic security.
