Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel will pay a working visit to Kingdom of Morocco on Wednesday and Thursday, her Ministry said.

The visit is at the invitation of the country's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates of Morocco Nasser Bourita. It takes place in the context of the traditionally good bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Morocco and aims at deepening cooperation with this important EU and NATO partner in North Africa.

The Bulgarian delegation, led by the Deputy Prime Minister, includes Culture Minister Krastyu Krastev.

During the visit, Mariya Gabriel is scheduled to hold meetings with Bourita, with Moroccan House of Representatives Chair Rachid Talbi Alami and King Mohammed VI's advisor Andre Azoulay.

The Deputy Prime Minister will inaugurate in the Moroccan capital Rabat an Information Centre of Bulgarian Higher Education as a concrete step to deepen the ties between the two countries in the field of education and culture. The Centre will provide preliminary information on study opportunities at higher education institutions in Bulgaria.

The opening will be attended by the Chair of the parliamentary Education and Science Committee, Krasimir Valchev, representatives of the Education Ministry, as well as rectors and directors from a total of nine Bulgarian universities from across the country.
