Bulgarian Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel met Tuesday with Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Bulgaria Khalid bin Kamal Fakih, as they both underlined their countries' will for enhanced economic cooperation and for more joint initiatives in new technologies and innovation, agriculture, tourism.

"I congratulated the Ambassador on Riyadh winning the hosting of the Expo 2030," Gabriel wrote on Facebook. She thanked Khalid bin Kamal Fakih for his active work for the development of relations between Bulgaria and Saudi Arabia.

Also on Tuesday, Gabriel wrote on Twitter that she is looking forward to her official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on invitation by her Saudi Arabian counterpart Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud which will take place at the end of January.
