Artillery members of the 31st Mechanised Battalion of 2nd Tundzha Mechanised Brigade are holding a joint preparation with US service members at the Novo Selo Training Area (Southeastern Bulgaria), the Defence Ministry said in a press release Tuesday. For three days, the Bulgarian battalion's mine-thrower battery jointly with a US mine-thrower platoon have been practicing the provision of fire support for the mechanised battalion during an offensive.

The joint preparation will end with a joint tactical firing exercise, during which the battery will cover a US mechanised company during an offensive. The exercise will begin on November 21 and will continue during the night to November 22.
