site.btaOver 600 Fencers to Compete in Etropolski's Sabre European Cadet Cup in Sofia

More than 600 fencers will compete in Etropolski's Sabre European Cadet Cup, which will be held at Sofia's Asics Arena from November 17 to 19. This is the biggest tournament for cadets that is valid for the European Fencing Cup.

The tournament is organized by the Bulgarian Fencing Federation, Vasil Etropolski Fencing Academy, and Svechnikov Fencing Club with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Sofia - European Capital of Sport Foundation.

Etropolski's Sabre begins on Friday with the competitions between boys and girls under 14 years of age. To cross sabres are 77 boys and 83 girls from 14 countries. The competitions for cadets over the weekend will see 242 male and 209 female fencers from 24 countries cross sabres.

Bulgaria will be represented by 32 male and 26 female cadets. The country's most successful fencer, Vasil Etropolski, will award the winners.
