Bulgarian Defence Minister Todor Tagarev, Greek Defence Minister Nikos Dendias and  Romanian Deputy Defence Minister Simona Cojocaru jointly signed a Letter of Intent to Expand the NATO Fuel Pipeline Network to the Alliance's Eastern Flank during the NATO Defense Ministers' meeting in Brussels this Wednesday, ANA-MPA reported for BTA.

The signing of the Letter comes after the tripartite meeting of the Prime Ministers of Greece, Bulgaria and Romania in Varna on October 9.

This initiative promotes the connection of the countries' infrastructure and sends a message of clear political intentions for the cooperation of the three countries within NATO.

The initiative also contributes to strengthening the resilience of the fuel supply infrastructure on NATO's eastern flank.
