“As you can see, the security services are working hard and at the moment the most important thing is to prevent incompetent interference in their work and the continuation of attempts to politicise them,” President Rumen Radev commented in Burgas on the need to convene a Consultative Council on National Security given the events in Israel.
"The summarised results of the report of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, announced by the Prime Minister, showed that there is currently no direct threat to our national security. “I expect the security services to continue to operate calmly and responsibly. If there is any change in the situation, I am ready to convene the Consultative Council on National Security," the head of State said.
In Burgas, Radev presented the Sts Cyril and Methodius presidential plaque to the Prof. Dr Asen Zlatarov University.
