site.btaLovech Drama Theatre Performance "The Seven Chairs" Participates in Comedy Days International Festival in Kumanovo

With the performance The Seven Chairs based on The Twelve Chairs by Soviet authors Ilf and Petrov, Bulgaria's Lovech Drama Theatre presented itself to the audience at the international festival Days of Comedy in Kumanovo. 

Damyan Tenev directed the play, Radostina Todorova designed the set, and the cast - Penko Gospodinov, Petko Venelinov, Boryana Babanova, Georgi Grozev, Elitsa Kostova, Pavel Emilov, Yavor Kostov-Yasha, who evoked numerous reactions and applause from the audience at the Cultural Centre Trajko Prokopiev in Kumanovo.

The project of the Lovech Drama Theatre is realized with the financial support of the National Fund Culture under the programme for the reconstruction and development of state, regional and municipal cultural institutions, and its participation in the festival is realized with the assistance of the Bulgarian Cultural Information Centre in Skopje.

The twenty-sixth edition of Days of Comedy was opened on September 28, and beside the theatre in Lovech, this year the theatres from Veles, Shtip, Skopje, Tetovo, Pirot (Serbia), Vinkovci (Croatia), as well as the hosts from the Kumanovo theatre, who will close the festival on October 15, are also participating. The awards for best play, directing, male and female roles, supporting role, set design and costumes will be presented on October 15.

The traditional Days of Comedy festival in Kumanovo has so far presented 210 plays by professional theatres from North Macedonia and the region.
