Parliament will hold an extraordinary sitting today at 2 pm. The first item on the agenda, published on the National Assembly's website, is the first reading of bills amending the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act.

The MPs are scheduled to discuss at first reading amendments to the Judiciary Act, as well as a draft law on the ratification of the EU-Vietnam investment protection agreement.

Another item on the agenda of the extraordinary sitting is the first reading of amendments to the Biological Diversity Act and the Energy Act. Parliament will also consider at second reading amendments to the Foreign Exchange Act.

An extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly is also scheduled for Tuesday (September 19) at 9 am.

Last week, the MPs adopted a decision on their work before and during the local elections campaign. It is planned that Parliament will not meet for three weeks before the local elections on October 29. Before that, there will be six extraordinary sittings in addition to the regular ones. Thus, from September 18 until October 6 inclusive, MPs will sit five times a week - from Monday to Friday. There will be meetings of parliamentary committees throughout the period until the elections.
