site.btaDefence Minister Meets with Azerbaijani Ambassador

The development of cooperation in the field of defence between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan was discussed at a meeting on September 14 between Minister of Defence Todor Tagarev and Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria Huseyn Huseynov, the press centre of the ministry said.

The positive impact of the active political dialogue between the two countries on the development of defence relations was noted at the talks at the Defence Ministry. Minister Tagarev highly appreciated the good cooperation in the field of military training and highlighted the role of the G.S. Rakovski Military Academy and the National Military University in this area. The meeting also looked at steps in the development of cooperation in defence, the possibilities of training personnel in the field of military medicine and language training, and joint training of servicemen.

Minister Tagarev and Ambassador Huseynov also discussed issues related to regional security challenges.
