North Macedonia's President Stevo Pendarovski will host this year's meeting of the leaders of the countries participating in the Brdo-Brijuni Process. The focus of the forum will be European integration, climate change and the emigration of young people, the press service of North Macedonia's Presidency reported.

The Presidents of Croatia and Slovenia, Zoran Milanovic and Natasha Pirc Musar, will participate in the meeting as co-hosts. Other participants include the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani Sadriu, the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović and members of the presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Zeljko Komsic, Denis Becirovic and Zeljka Cvijanovic.

The Brdo-Brijuni process was held for the first time in 2013 in Brdo near Kranj at the joint initiative of the presidents of the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia. The main goal of the process is the full integration of the countries of the region into the European Union, stabilization of the situation in the Western Balkans by strengthening regional cooperation and resolving open issues.

The leaders of the Brdo-Brijuni Process countries meet at least once a year.
