site.btaBulgaria Clinch Quarter-Finals at CEV Eurovolley 2023 Women

The women's national volleyball team of Bulgaria defeated Slovakia, 3-2 (16-25, 17-25, 25-19, 25-20, 15-9), in the second eight-final of the Women's Volleyball European Championships 2023 in Florence Sunday evening.

Michal Masek's team won the first two sets. Then Bulgaria made an amazing comeback, winning the third and fourth sets and forcing the game to a tie break. In it, Lorenzo Micelli's team took an early 5-0 lead, keeping it until the end to win the game by 15-9.

The top scorers were Radostina Marinova for Bulgaria on 21 points and Karin Sunderlikova for Slovakia on 17 points.

In the quarter-finals on Tuesday, Bulgaria will play against the Netherlands, who won their eight-final match against Switzerland, 3-0.
