site.btaNGO Analyzes Parties' Spending in 2022

The Institute for Public Environment Development (IPED) published an analysis on the topic of party funding, focusing on the spending of political formations in Bulgaria for 2022.

A total of 112 parties have submitted their reports to the National Audit Office on time. An analysis of their data shows that the total value of their expenditure is BGN 28,594,000.

The largest part of the parties' funds was spent on administrative expenses - BGN 15.9 million (56%). Despite the large share of these expenses, only 23 parties declared that they pay employees. Donations made by political entities amounted to BGN 1.5 million.
