Over 6,000 People Visit Job Fairs in First Seven Months of 2023

Since the beginning of 2023 until end-July, a total of 6,049 people sought employment, attending a total of 35 job fairs, the Employment Agency told BTA. More than 406 employers participated in the job fairs. The number of job vacancies was 5,282.

According to the data, 13 specialized job fairs were held until end-July. Eight of those were held in the tourism, hotel and restaurant industries. There were 120 employers at those forums and the vacancies advertised were 3,566. Job seekers visiting these job fairs were 2,278. One specialized job fair each was organized in industry and construction.

The industry job fair gathered 20 employers, advertising 188 job vacancies, and 950 people who sought employment. There were 28 job seekers at the construction job fair. There were only three employers at this forum and 26 vacancies.

During the same period, one specialized job fair for long-term unemployed people and people over 50 was held. The event was attended by 119 people seeking employment. The Employment Agency also organized a specialized job fair for the Roma community, where 10 employers offered 78 vacancies, and there were 130 job seekers.
