The conditions for tourism in the mountains are good on Monday, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA.

Temperatures in the higher parts are between 7C and 15C. Strong winds blow along the ridge of the Balkan mountain.

The past weekends have been extremely busy for the mountain rescuers because of a series of incidents with tourists, the MRS added. In one of the cases, 18 mountain rescuers from the detachments in Blagoevgrad and Sandanski rescued an elderly tourist. The action lasted more than 15 hours in difficult terrain, the area under Mount Sinanitsa, and bad weather conditions.
