Two road traffic accidents in which a large number of people were killed and injured have occurred in Turkiye.
In one accident, a passenger coach fell from a viaduct down 50 m into a precipice in Kars, in the Northeast of the country, killing seven and injuring 22, according to initial reports, NTV said. The casualties have been rushed by ambulance and helicopter to hospitals in Kars and Erzurum.
In another accident, a minivan carrying tourists from Kazakhstan rammed the rear of a heavy-duty truck in the Alanya beach resort near Antalya. The minivan driver and the tourist guide, who is a Ukrainian national, were killed on the spot. Twenty persons sustained injuries, and six of them are reported in serious condition. The casualties have been hospitalized in Alanya and Manavgat.
