The Parliamentary Committee on Budget and Finance adopted the 2023 State Budget Bill at the second reading. According to the bill, the minimum amount of the fiscal reserve as of December 31, 2023 will be BGN 4.5 billion, the maximum amount of the state debt at the end of 2023 cannot exceed BGN 40.6 billion, and the maximum amount of the new state debt that can be accumulated during the year in accordance with the Government Debt Act , is BGN 7.5 billion.

The Committee agreed that the amount of the state subsidy for political parties for one actual vote received should be BGN 8, as proposed by the Council of Ministers. The proposal of the There Is Such a People party that the subsidy be in the amount of BGN 1 was rejected.

The total annual quota for providing food vouchers under the Corporate Income Tax Act will be BGN 1.4 billion.

A proposal to set the total amount of the amount subject to reimbursement to farmers from the diesel excise tax according to the Agricultural Producers Support Act was also accepted.

The Committee supported a proposal that the minimum wage for the lowest government position of a should be BGN 780, as well as proposals that the amount of monthly allowances for raising a child up to one year of age should be BGN 200, the amount of the one-time allowance for students for the academic year 2023 - 2024 should be BGN 300, and the amount of the one-time allowance for students enrolled in the eighth grade should be BGN 300 .

The state budget for 2023, as well as the  National Health Insurance Fund and Public Social Insurance budgets, will be debated at the second reading in Parliament on Wednesday, according to the national Assembly agenda.
