The three-day Burgas Blue Summit forum, which focuses on key issues in established and emerging sectors of the blue economy in the Black Sea region, opens in Burgas on Friday. The event in Bulgaria is the first of the three planned conferences, with the next two locations being the Ukrainian city of Odessa and the Georgian Butami. The event is organized within the framework of the Digital Blue Economy and Innovation Acceleration Network (DBAN) project, which is implemented with the financial support of the EU through the Natural Resources, Climate, Sustainable Blue Economy and Clean Energy programme of the 2021-2027 European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund.
