Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of North Macedonia Bujar Osmani and Bulgaria's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel met on Saturday at the 2023 international Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia to discuss North Macedonia's EU prospects in accordance with the Treaty of Friendship, Goodneighbourliness and Cooperation, North Macedonia's Foreign Ministry reported.

The ministers exchanged views on the work of the sectoral working groups, reaffirming their importance for cooperation.

Osmani expressed satisfaction with the formation of a regular government in Bulgaria, as its presence creates additional prospects for more intensive political dialogue, and thus more opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.

Gabriel and Osmani discussed the current political and security situation in the region, as well as the need to accelerate the European integration of the Western Balkan countries, considering the changing geopolitical circumstances.
