On April, a foreign-registered truck carrying goods from Turkey through Bulgaria to Croatia arrived at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, the Appellate Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv said on Friday. The vehicle was selected for a thorough customs inspection. During a personal examination of the driver of the car, customs officials found a glass jar wrapped in transparent foil in the inside pocket of his jacket. It contained a poisonous substance - metallic mercury with a total gross weight of 0.590 grams.
