Call for Establishment of Balkan
Prosecutorial Network
Sofia, September 29 (BTA) - The chief prosecutors of Bulgaria
and Macedonia, Sotir Tsatsarov and Marko Zvrlevski, called for
the establishment of a Balkan network of chief prosecutors, said
Tsatsarov's office after the two met here Monday.
Zvrlevski and the head of the prosecution office for organized
crime and corruption, Jovan Ilievski, are on a two-day official
visit at Tsatsarov's invitation.
The two sides discussed opportunities for cooperation across the
Balkans and agreed that discussions will be held before the end
of the year with their Balkan counterparts to discuss the
establishment of a Balkan-wide network.
The Macedonian officials are also scheduled to hold meetings at
the Appellate Specialized Prosecution Office, the Supreme
Judicial Council and the Justice Institute. VI/LN/
