Bulgaria Condemns Barbaric Killing of Jordanian Pilot
Sofia, February 4 (BTA) - "Bulgaria categorically condemns the
barbaric killing of Jordanian pilot Mouath al-Kasaesbeh,
committed by the terrorist group Islamic State," reads a
statement by the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson in
connection with the Jordanian airman's execution.
On Tuesday, Islamic State militants released a video appearing
to show the captured Jordanian pilot being burnt alive in a
cage.
"This latest in a series of inhuman acts of violence exemplifies
the meaningless cruelty, faulty ideology and misinterpretation
of Islam by that group. These atrocities reaffirm the need of
the international community to unite in the fight against
terrorism in all its forms," the statement says.
"At this harsh moment we express our support to the Government
of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and we empathize with the
pain, grief and anger felt by the friendly Jordanian people. We
offer our deepest condolences to the perished Jordanian pilot's
family and close ones," the Foreign Ministry states.
