Training of Macedonian Medics in
Bulgaria Discussed by the Two
Countries' Health Ministers


Sofia, February 12 (BTA) - Bulgaria's Health Minister Peter
Moskov conferred with his Macedonian counterpart Nikola Todorov,
who is on a one-day visit to Sofia, Moskov's Ministry said on
Thursday.

The Macedonian Health Minister familiarized his host with the
key priorities in his work paying special attention to the
training of medical staff. He voiced his country's interest in
sending Macedonian doctors on short-term training in Bulgaria.

Minister Moskov noted the traditionally good bilateral
cooperation and voiced principled readiness for supporting the
Macedonian side in relation to the training of Macedonian
medical specialists in Bulgaria in particular.

Moskov underscored the wish for promotion of cooperation between
the two countries' health ministries including through direct
contacts between the health establishments and medical
universities of Bulgaria and Macedonia.

During the meeting, the sides reached an agreement on the
establishment of a joint working group in charge of developing a
plan on narrowing and extension of cooperation on the basis of
the intergovernmental agreement.

During his visit the Macedonian Health Minister will have
meetings at the Medical Faculty of the Medical University in
