Voter Turnout at 5 p.m.

Sofia, November 1 (BTA) - At 5 p.m., voter turnout in the second round of the local elections in Sofia was 13.17 per cent, Municipal Election Commission Chair Polina Vitanova told BTA.

Sixteen of Sofia's 24 boroughs and 14 mayoralties in Sofia Municipality are electing mayors in the second round after the first one on October 25 did not produce definitive winners there. Sofia Municipality already elected its mayor in the first round.

The Municipal Election Commission has received about five or six alerts concerning unlawful canvassing on voting day, Vitanova said.

At 5 p.m., turnout levels in other major cities were as follows: in Plovdiv 26.68 per cent, Varna 13.25 per cent, Pleven 26.33 per cent, and Vratsa 36.43 per cent.
