President Plevneliev Congratulates Catholics on Easter

Sofia, March 27 (BTA) - "I would like to congratulate you on the Easter holiday and address my warmest wishes of health, love and prosperity to you," Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev said on the occasion of the Easter holiday, celebrated by the Catholic Church this Sunday.

 "In these festive days, families from all over the world will gather together to celebrate the Holy Resurrection. May we remember all these who lost their lives in armed conflicts and barbarian acts of violence in the recent months," said the head of State quoted by his Press Secretariat.

He also urged to think of the people forced to leave their homes in search of asylum and of children deprived of childhood." Compassion to pain and sympathy to one's fellows, solidarity and understanding should guide our deeds because we cane cope with the challenges of extremism and violence only together," the President noted.
