Reformist Bloc Accepts Mandate to Form Government
Sofia, December 13 (BTA) - The Reformist Bloc (RB) accepted Tuesday an exploratory mandate to try to form a government within this Parliament. Roumen Hristov of the Union of Democratic Forces, one of the RB partners, said they hope to be able to talk GERB into forming a new government.
They have set themselves a deadline until December 19 and if the talks are not successful, they will return the mandate.
The RB is the third political force President Rosen Plevneliev has asked to form a government after the two largest groups in Parliament, GERB and the Socialists, turned down the offer to try to fill the gap that emerged after the resignation of the GERB-dominated government of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
"Considering what is happening, it is important for us to have a stable government in Bulgaria," said Roumen Hristov.
