Sofia, August 30 (BTA) - No Bulgarians are known to have been hurt in tropical storm Harvey in the United States, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday citing information from the US State Department.

The Bulgarian Embassy in the US has called the local emergency centres, the local offices of the State Department and members of the Bulgarian communities in the areas affected by Harvey, and there is no information that a Bulgarian citizen is in need of help, said the Ministry.

The Embassy continues to monitor the situation and remains in contact with the local authorities.
