Sofia, May 25 (BTA) - The Customs Agency Friday incinerated 366 kg of seized drugs, including 250 kg of marijuana, 78 kg of ecstasy pills, 18 kg of heroin, 9 kg of amphetamines, 3 kg of cocain and 8 kg of other illegal drugs, the agency said. The destroyed drugs were worth more than 21 million leva on the black market.

The incineration procedure comes three months after 748 kg of illegal drugs were destroyed.

Subject to incineration are only those quantities of drug substances seized by the Interior Ministry and the Customs Agency for which a sentence has come into force or the prosecuting magistracy has issued an ordinance. In the last 17 years, the Customs Agency has organized and carried out 61 procedures for the incineration of over 40 tonnes of illegal drugs.
