site.btaSevdalina Vassileva Appointed Executive Director of First Investment Bank

Sofia, August 26 (BTA) - Sevdalina Vassileva has been appointed Executive Director and member of the Management Board of Fibank (First Investment Bank), Fibank said on its website.

She replaced Vassil Hristov, who had worked for the bank for 16 years.

Vassileva's professional experience in the banking sector began in 2007 when she was appointed as Director of the Consumer Lending Sector at Post Bank. From 2010 to 2016 she was Head of Retail Banking at Alpha Bank. In 2017 Vassileva joined Fibank as Director for Strategic Planning and Development.

Vassileva holds a master degree in business administration awarded by the Sofia University. In 1996 she took a major in marketing and management at the Lund University, Sweden.

Following a bank run in June 2014, Bulgaria granted liquidity support to Fibank in the form of a state deposit of 1,2 billion leva (0,6 billion euro) with the approval of the European Commission which the bank repaid.

In July this year Moody's Investors Service (Moody's) assigned first time B1 long-term local and foreign currency deposit ratings to FiBank.
