site.btaBulgaria to Benefit from Additional EC Support for Improving Management of EU Funding

Brussels, May 25 (BTA) - The European Commission announced extending additional support for the national and regional authorities in Greece, Poland, Spain, Croatia and Bulgaria to improve the management of EU funding. The additional support in Bulgaria will go towards the Regions in Growth programme.

To improve the management of the EU-financed programme after 2020, the experts of the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development will provides assistance based on the needs and aimed at setting in place the necessary organizational structure and the development of skills of the staff involved in the programme management.

During the period from the beginning of this summer to the end of March next year, a training plan will be prepared for the administration.

The European Regional Development Fund has provided 900,000 euro for that purpose.
