The 8th edition of the International Art Olympiad for Ballet and Dance Art will be held on December 8 in Stara Zagora, the press centre of the Stara Zagora State Opera said on Tuesday.

The programme of the Art Olympiad will include classical and modern disciplines, and the international jury will consist of world-renowned names in ballet, including Sara-Nora Krasteva, Kostas Kafantaris, Trifon Mitev, Inna Paramonova and Maria Tabakova.

The winners of the Olympiad will have the opportunity to participate in the European Art Olympiad, which will be held in March 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and the Continental Art Olympiad, which will take place in May 2025 in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Before the start of the Olympiad a master class will take place in the hall of the Pas de Cre Ballet School on December 7, with choreographers and ballet teachers from Bulgaria, Russia and Greece to participate in it.

The 8th edition of the International Art Olympiad for Ballet and Dance Art is organized by the Stara Zagora State Opera, together with the non-profit organization Balkan Alliance.
