Singer Daniela Belcheva presented her new album titled Naivna (Naive) in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum in Varna on Tuesday. The concert featured pianist Milen Kukosharov, double bass player Mihail Ivanov (Misho) and drummer Dimitar Semov. The promotion of the album was part of the Varna Summer Music Festival.

"The album is very close to my heart and important to me. It is called Naivna because I think that showing, acknowledging and not hiding naivety is very important. I think this makes us freer in communication and in looking at everything that surrounds us," said Belcheva from the stage in front of the numerous audience.

Naivna was recorded with the help of the Nevena Dobreva Foundation for Entrepreneurship, Culture and Education. Belcheva emphasized that the creation of an album is not only a matter of inspiration, therefore she is grateful to Dimitar Semov for being the music producer of the album and that he, together with Konstantin Katsarski, devoted long hours of work for its creation. She also noted the support of many people and audiences in Bulgaria. "Surprisingly for me, they are increasing, becoming more and more, which I can only be happy about."

The concert featured the new single Silver line, which is dedicated to hope. “The silver thread is that which frames the cloud when the sun is behind it. The light is always there, it just takes a little effort to feel it," noted Belcheva and added that the song has a documentary video on the Internet, capturing moments from the recording session, where, according to her, the musicians show their most genuine energy in the working process.

Daniela Belcheva was born in Varna and went through various choir formations growing up in the city. Until 2020, she sang in ensembles around Europe, after which she returned to Bulgaria and found like-minded musicians in the face of some of the best jazz performers in the country. She appeared on stage at the Plovdiv Jazz Festival and the A to Jazz Festival and has released the albums "Acoustic Me" and "Silver Button".
