site.btaFifth Edition of Antiquity Festival in Pravets to Be Held on July 12

The fifth edition of the traditional Ancient Festival will take place at the foot of the Borovets Fortress in Pravets on Friday and Saturday, said the organizers from the Municipality on Monday.

Anastenaria dances will be presented on a stage under the open sky on Friday at the opening of the festival. The programme for Saturday will include ancient reconstructions at the foot of the Borovets fortress. There will also be presentations of clothing, weapons and equipment of the Late Antiquity, as well as an early Christian liturgy, a presentation of crafts, coinage, Roman medicine and board games for children.

The festival aims to popularize the archaeological site of the ancient Borovets Fortress.
