site.btaEnvironment Ministry, EIB Sign Advisory Support Agreement Worth BGN 4.9 Mln

Environment Minister Julian Popov and European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President Kyriacos Kakouris on Wednesday signed an agreement for advisory support for environmental projects, the Ministry said.

The agreement provides for the EIB to provide to the Environment Programme 2021-2027 expert support on the effective implementation and management of strategic investments under the Water, Waste and Biodiversity Priorities. The total value of the agreement is a grant of BGN 4,889,575. The implementation deadline is January 15, 2027.

The advisory support agreement includes regional water infrastructure projects and other priority environmental investments in Bulgaria. This will facilitate the absorption of European Union grants while promoting climate action and environmental sustainability in the country.
