Artists from the Taraclia District took part in the opening of Open Parliament Week, which is taking place in Moldova between September 13 and 20. The week's grand opening was marked by a spectacular gala concert in front of the parliament building in Chisinau, which brought together around 1,000 performers.

Taraclia District was represented by folk and vocal ensembles at the national patriotic music festival and competition Te Cant, Patrie si Neam.

Soloists Sofia Panicerscaia and Nelli Uzunova received individual awards, while Marina Caramalac received special recognition for her performance of a Bulgarian folk song, the Taraclia District Department of Culture and Tourism reported.

Open Parliament Week is comprised of cultural and educational events aimed at promoting dialogue between citizens and parliament. The programme includes various educational events, games, quizzes, theatre, and information sessions for young people.

The week will end on September 20 with a conference entitled Youth Decides the Future of the Republic of Moldova, where young people, MPs, and experts will discuss the role of the new generation in strengthening democracy and the country's European course.
