Cooperation between Bulgaria and Ukraine in the field of education and science continues. During its Wednesday regular meeting, the caretaker Cabinet approved a new Protocol on Cooperation and Exchange between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The Protocol is important for the preservation of the identity of the Bulgarian community in Ukraine, the Bulgarian Government press office said.
The document regulates relations between the two countries in the field of education and science for the next four academic years - from 2024/2025 to 2027/2028. The aim is to continue the exchange of good practices and to expand this country's participation in European educational programs and research.
The document regulates the continuation of the secondment of Bulgarian educators and lecturers to Ukraine, as well as the admission of Ukrainian citizens of Bulgarian origin to study in higher education institutions in Bulgaria.
The bilateral cooperation will also regulate specific exchange quotas for students, PhD students, postgraduate students, lecturers, academic and educational staff.
The parties will also promote closer partnership between public universities and scientific organisations.
