site.btaBulgarian Artist Zhivko Tenev Awarded in International Cartoon Contest in South Korea

Bulgarian artist Zhivko Tenev-Gissen has received an honorary award from the Sejong International Cartoon Contest (SICACO) in the Republic of Korea, he told BTA. He is the only representative of Bulgaria at the international forum.

The awarded works are on display at Songdam Man-ri in the city of Sejong from October 9 and 12.

The international contest's topic is Hangul writing and civilization, and it is organized by the National Institute of Korean Language, Tenev said. He is an editorial illustrator of the Antenneair.eu news website since its establishment 19 years ago. Before that, he published cartoons of his in the Anteni, Pulse, Shipka, Democracy, Orient Express, and Novinar Yug newspapers. He has received awards for his words at international exhibitions in Italy, Syria, and China.
