site.btaBulgarian Sunday School in Finland Offers Courses for Bulgarian as Foreign Language
During the upcoming school year, the Bulgarian summer school, ABC in Finland will run classes for children where they will study Bulgarian as a foreign language. Details of the project were shared by the school on the social networks.
The project was initiated after teachers observed that many children lack basic Bulgarian language skills and have problems keeping apace with rest in the Bulgarian language classes of the Sunday school, the school management said in their post.
The course is designed for children who are only beginning to study Bulgarian. Upon graduating the course, the kids will get certificates for A1 or A2 level of Bulgarian language proficiency.
The ABC school was established on the initiative of Club Bulgaria and is included in the list of Sunday schools of the Bulgarian Education Ministry. The school teaches Bulgarian language and literature, history and geography of Bulgaria, as well as Bulgarian traditions and folk dances.
