The southern part of the Odesa Region, Bessarabia, was hit by drones coming from the Black Sea on Wednesday evening. An air raid alert was issued at 10:48 p.m.

"The drones are heading south in the Region – in Bolhrad, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, and Izmail districts,” Odesa Mayor Gennady Trukhanov said on Telegram.

Bulgarians in Odesa District number over 150,000 and are the third largest community according to the official census in Ukraine of 2001. The city of Odesa is home to between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians. The largest Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolhrad, Izmail, and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi districts.
